The European Fashion Award (FASH) is an international annual competition held by the German Fashion Industry Foundation. Thanks to its tradition, fairness, authentic industry focus, challenging tasks, international jury, complex selection process, refined documentation, as well as the subsequent success of former award winners, FASH has become one of the most important sponsorship award for fashion design students.

This year FASH features the theme 'Change', searching for visions of a new era.

The Award is divided into two categories: Students and Graduates. All submitted projects will be evaluated according to the following criteria:

• Quality of the analysis, autonomy of the concept
• Overall concept
• Innovation/vision
• Functionality
• Technical and design implementation

All submitted outfits will remain the property of the participants.

Please note: the registration deadline is August, 31, 2015 and the submission deadline is September, 25th, 2015.

There is no entry fee.

Eligibility

The contest is open worldwide to talented design students of all disciplines, but especially from the fashion and textile design areas. Students currently enrolled in their fourth semester or higher are entitled to participate.

Prize

The award purse totals 80,000 Euro (approx. 87,300 USD) and is valued with the following prizes:

• Photo shoots with the renowned fashion photographer Franco P. Tettamanti
• A graphically sophisticated catalogue
• Professional media work, incl. an own microsite on www.sdbi.de.
• Awards ceremony
• Participation in the network of SDBI and in the mentoring program
• Cash prizes of 10,000 Euro (approx. 10,900 USD)

Moreover, the jury reserves the right to present special mentions. These feature a cash prize of 500 Euro (approx. 545 USD).
