The United States International Poster Biennial (USIPB) is a prestigious global competition that celebrates innovation and creativity in poster design. Established to promote the significance of posters as a medium of graphic design, the Biennial showcases work from artists, graphic designers, students, and other visual communicators from across the globe. By focusing on a wide array of themes, including social justice, environmental advocacy, and cultural events, the USIPB encourages designers to use their craft to engage with critical global issues, making it a platform that amplifies voices and creative narratives through visual expression.
Held every two years, the USIPB is recognized for its wide reach and inclusivity. The 2025 edition invites posters created between July 2023 and May 2025, with entries spanning categories such as social, cultural, animated, and national parks. The event not only celebrates artistic excellence but also emphasizes the role of design in addressing pressing social and environmental concerns. By including animated posters and specific categories like National Parks, the Biennial underscores the evolving nature of poster design and its capacity to inspire public action and awareness.
Participants of the Biennial gain international recognition, with winning entries awarded Gold, Silver, and Bronze honors across categories. The competition culminates in a series of exhibitions across the United States, offering designers opportunities to showcase their work to diverse audiences. Selected posters are also featured in the official catalog, a testament to their influence and excellence in design.
