    Organised by Sock It to Me, the Design-A-Sock Contest 2018 invites fans and artists around the world to submit unique sock designs, and maybe win the opportunity to see it produced.

    All judging will be based on the following guidelines:

    • Simplicity of design
    • Use of maximum of six colours
    • Use of colours that are flat and solids (no shading, blends or half tones)
    • Use of imagery, themes, patterns or designs that are different from the current line
    • Originality

    Maximum of five original entries per person, and a maximum of six colours per design. Any socks produced, winning or otherwise, are created with the artist's permission and are paid for.

    This year, Sock It to Me has invited a special Celebrity Judge Panel who will help select the winning designs, including the famous music duo Matt and Kim, hip-hop artist SLIMKID3, American Idol singer Zach D’Onofrio, Miz Cracker from RuPaul’s Drag Race, celebrity cat Lil Bub, Portland music duo The Doubleclicks, and more.

    There is no entry fee.


    Open to anyone worldwide. If you are under 13, a parent or legal guardian must submit your entry.


    Approximately 30 semi-finalists will be chosen and uploaded on Sock It to Me's Facebook page for public voting between 8th October and 14th October 2018. Sock It to Me judges will select the final 3 winners from the top 10.

    • 1st Prize: 2,000 USD cash, 15 pairs of socks and your design will be manufactured on real socks
    • 2nd Prize: 500 USD cash and 10 pairs of socks
    • 3rd Prize: 250 USD cash and 5 pairs of socks
