The Wells Art Contemporary Awards is an international open competition for contemporary visual art that is gaining praise and respect in Britain and abroad. It was established five years ago by a group of artists and their friends in Wells, the beautiful cathedral city in the South-West of England.
Entries can be in any media, including painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, photography, installation and video. There are no size restrictions.
All works are initially viewed anonymously and online by the panel of selectors. The chosen 100 works are exhibited in Wells in October where the final judging takes place.
The entry fee is 16 GBP (approx. 23 USD) per work (12 GBP for current students).

Open to anyone worldwide.
Prize
• 1st Prize: solo exibition at 45 Park Lanein London’s Mayfair + 1,000 GBP (approx. 1,450 USD)
• 2nd Prize: 1000 GBP
• 3rd Prize: 500 GBP
• The People's Choice: 250 GBP
All exhibited work will be for sale unless otherwise indicated by the artist. Commission of 25% is due to Wells Art Contemporary on sale.
