    The Maria Luisa Memorial is calling the twenty-eighth edition of its photo and video contest, with the purpose of continuing with the promotion of the artistic work of photographers and filmmakers, and at the same time, continue with the diffusion of the natural environment and with its necessary protection.

    Mountain, nature, wildlife, climbing, landscape, underwater world, biodiversity, flora, extreme and adventure sports, etc. will be once again the theme of the contest. Also, a new section is created dedicated to videos, films and documentaries whose content is also related to the previous topics.

    Works has to be sent as digital file in JPEG format, preferably with colour profile Adobe RGB 1998 and must be 1920 pixels wide in its largest side, and a maximum weight of 2MB. Authors of short-listed photographs will be asked to provide RAW files as well.

    Maximum of five photographs per entrant in each category. Typical adjustments (white balance, exposure, levels, contrast, colour saturation, focusing, vignetting removal, etc.) will be admitted.

    Entry fee is 22 Euro (approx. 26 USD) for adult photographers.
    Free for young under 20.


    Open worldwide to all photographers, both amateurs and professionals.


    • The overall winner will receive 3,000 Euro (approx. 3,577 USD)
    • The category winner will receive 300 Euro (approx. 357 USD)
    • Young Photographers Prize: Samsung’s premium tablet
    • Special award for the theme of the year: BN008 Citizen watch

    Moreover, a selection of the photographs submitted to the competition will be projected on May 5, 2018 after the prize-giving ceremony, at a time and place to be designated by the Organisation. The Organisation will provide free accommodation for the winner and a companion.
