HUAWEI XMAGE Awards 2026 is the annual global mobile photography and imaging competition connected to Huawei’s XMAGE photography platform. The competition invites Huawei phone users around the world to submit images and videos created with Huawei phones, continuing the brand’s open platform for celebrating smartphone photographic expression.

The 2026 edition is open across nine categories: So Far So Close, Colour & Shade, Good Night, Active Moments, Faces, A Heartwarming World, Experimental Lab, Storyboard, and Action. These categories cover wide-ranging approaches to mobile image-making, from night photography and portraits to 3–9 image storytelling and short video narrative.

For photographers working with mobile devices, the awards offer a structured international stage where personal observation, visual experimentation, and everyday storytelling can be presented together. Entries are reviewed after submission, shortlisted after the deadline, and judged by a panel that selects the XMAGE 100, from which three Grand Prize Winners are chosen.

Eligibility

Open to Huawei phone users worldwide who are at least 18 or the age of majority in their jurisdiction; entries must be captured with a Huawei phone, retain complete EXIF information, and must not have won another contest or been published in a public periodical.

Prize

Three Grand Prize Winners receive an XMAGE creation fund of USD 10,000 pre-tax and an electronic certificate, while 97 XMAGE 100 winners receive an XMAGE creation fund of USD 1,500 pre-tax and an electronic certificate; the organizer reserves the right to modify the number of winners.
