The Environmental Photography Award 2027 is an international photography competition organized by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation. Created in 2021, the annual award uses photography to raise awareness of environmental protection while exploring the beauty of the planet and the complex relationships between people and nature.

The 2027 edition invites photographers to submit work across five categories: Polar Regions, Forests, Ocean, Humanity versus Nature, and Changemakers. Each category addresses a distinct aspect of the natural world or environmental action, from wildlife and ecosystems to human impacts and people working toward positive change.

An international jury of professional photographers will select 36 photographs for the 2027 edition, including category winners and runners-up, with one category winner also named Environmental Photographer 2027. Selected photographs will form part of the award exhibition in Monaco and its international tour, while the annual bilingual French-English book will document the shortlisted work.

Entry fee: Entry is completely free; photographers may submit up to 5 images in each of the 5 categories, for a maximum of 25 images in total.

Eligibility
