Wells Art Contemporary Awards is an international open competition for contemporary visual arts which has established a strong presence in the London art world and which is drawing artists from places as diverse as Australia, Azerbaijan, India, Italy, Korea, Japan and the United States.
It is open to artists working in painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, photography, installation or video. Artists may enter up to four works.
Now in its 10th year, WAC draws thousands of entries from artists wishing to show their work in such unusual, inspirational and prestigious spaces. The competition’s international reputation and reach has grown hugely in recent years through the exhibition’s presence online.
Entry fee is 15 GBP (approx. 20 USD) or 12 GBP for current students. If you are a student, you can use the code WAC22student at checkout to enter one work for free. The first 90 students to enter will receive this discount.

Open worldwide to all artists over the age of 18.

• Howden Art Award: 2,000 GBP awarded to one artist

• NG Art Creative Residency: The Prize Winner will receive a free two-week placement at the NG Art Creative Residency in Eygalieres, France.
