Eligibility
Open to anyone (excluding Sony staff or suppliers), and entries must be completed works created between 1 January 2024 and 16 December 2025, with Student entries limited to those actively enrolled in higher‑education film courses at diploma or degree level .
Prize
Winners in the Fiction, Non‑Fiction, Animation and Student categories receive return flights and accommodation to attend an awards ceremony and exclusive four‑day workshop at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California, along with a $5,000 USD cash prize plus a Sony camera and lens (Student winners also receive camera equipment for their institution); the Future Format category winner receives similar travel, ceremony and workshop benefits along with a $2,500 USD cash prize and camera equipment; short‑listed (and commended for Future Format) filmmakers also participate in the workshops and ceremony and receive certificates, trophies and online promotion.
