    This contest is an interdisciplinary project that combines media, activism and various types of creative practices. The goal of the project is to encourage active citizens, journalists, people of creative fields to join a socially important discussion in order to increase awareness and prepare the ground for the research, discussion, and adoption of progressive political decisions.

    The competition is devoted to the topics of freedom of speech protection, access to information, and countering censorship as well as a special topic, which is determined by the organizers in accordance with the recent socio-political processes in Ukraine and in the world.

    This year's special topic of the contest is "Women. Equality. Politics". According to the organizers, the theme will help to overcome stereotypes, through which the participation of women in political life has traditionally been silenced.

    Works in five categories are eligible: image, poem, slogan, text, and multimedia.
    Works can be submitted in three languages: Ukrainian, English, and Russian.

    There is no entry fee.

    Eligibility


    Open to anyone worldwide, regardless age, citizenship or education.

    Prize


    The winners of the competition will be determined by three different juries: a jury of experts, a special jury and via online voting. The names of the winners will be announced in September 2018 in Kyiv.

    Exhibitions of the best works, public discussions, expert discussions, workshops on art activism will be organized during and after the contest. The organizers of the contest encourage all interested activists and organizations in the regions to cooperate for organizing exhibitions of the best works and public discussions.
