The Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation proudly presents the 12th annual Science Without Borders Challenge, establishing its mark as a premier international art contest. Recognized globally, this unique competition seeks to bridge the gap between scientific understanding and artistic expression, emphasizing the vital role of our oceans and aquatic resources. It not only offers students a platform to showcase their artistic talents but also resonates with the pressing need to foster ocean conservation.

In 2024, the Challenge introduces the theme “Hidden Wonders of the Deep”, urging young artists worldwide to delve into the mysteries of the deep sea. By focusing on this theme, the contest hopes to illuminate the often-unseen beauty and diversity of underwater ecosystems. Participants are encouraged to submit artwork that captivates and educates viewers about the enigmatic creatures and habitats lying beneath the ocean’s surface.

Promoting awareness through art, the Science Without Borders Challenge has over the years transformed into a beacon of creativity and conservation. It seamlessly integrates artistic innovation with the mission of the Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation, ensuring that the urgent call for preserving, protecting, and restoring our oceans reaches a global audience. With its ever-growing popularity, this competition is a must-engage for budding artists and ocean enthusiasts alike.
