The International Biennial Poster Design Terras Gauda 2026 Francisco Mantecón Competition is a prestigious international graphic design event organized by Terras Gauda Wineries in Spain, created to promote excellence, creativity, and innovation in contemporary poster design. Held every two years, the competition honors the legacy of renowned Galician designer Francisco Mantecón and has become a key reference point within the global visual communication and graphic arts community. It invites professional designers, studios, and emerging talents from around the world to present original, unpublished poster designs that demonstrate conceptual strength, visual impact, and technical quality.
The competition places a strong emphasis on artistic freedom, allowing participants to explore any theme or concept, while encouraging connections to the cultural values, philosophy, and identity of Terras Gauda as a winery rooted in territory, tradition, and innovation. Submitted works must meet specific technical and presentation requirements, including standardized poster dimensions and mounting formats, ensuring consistency for exhibition and jury evaluation. All accepted posters become part of an official exhibition, reinforcing the event’s role as both a competition and an international showcase of contemporary poster design trends.
Through its rigorous jury selection process, public exhibition, and significant financial awards, the International Biennial Poster Design Terras Gauda serves as a platform for professional recognition and international visibility. The event fosters dialogue between graphic design, visual culture, and the wine industry, positioning poster design as a powerful medium for artistic expression and communication. As a result, the biennial attracts high-quality submissions from designers across continents and continues to strengthen its reputation as one of the most respected poster design competitions worldwide.
