The 5th Bolu International Poster Design Competition, organized by Bolu Abant Izzet Baysal University, is an esteemed global event that invites designers to submit their creative works on the theme "The Place of Disabled Individuals in Society." This competition is meticulously aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically targeting "Good Health & Well-being" and "Reduced Inequalities." By addressing various sub-themes, the competition aims to foster awareness and generate impactful discussions about the societal integration and rights of disabled individuals. The event is set to take place within the scope of the 3 December International Day of Persons with Disabilities, ensuring it garners significant international attention and engagement.
Participants in the 5th Bolu International Poster Design Competition are encouraged to explore a wide range of sub-themes, including disability equality, social participation, and accessibility. The competition provides an expansive platform for designers to address critical issues such as preventing discrimination in education, employment, and health services, as well as highlighting the rich culture and contributions of disabled artists. Designers can submit multiple entries, each focusing on different aspects of the main theme, thereby broadening the scope of discussion and awareness through diverse visual narratives. The competition emphasizes the importance of original, previously unpublished works to maintain the integrity and impact of the messages conveyed.
The culmination of the competition will be marked by a physical exhibition at the Bolu Abant Izzet Baysal University’s art gallery on 3 December 2024, coinciding with World Disability Day. This exhibition will feature selected posters that best capture the essence of the theme, celebrating the creativity and advocacy of participating designers. In addition to the exhibition, a digital catalogue of the selected works will be published, providing lasting visibility and recognition for the designers. Participants whose works are chosen for the exhibition will receive a digital participation certificate, while the top three designs will be awarded a symbolic BIAH Certificate of Achievement.
