The Macquarie Photography Prize: is an international photo competition open to anyone from any country. This year the updated categories are: • Open - Any Subject • The Colour Red • People • Arthouse Photographs in the sections for The Colour Red, People and Open - Any Subject must be single capture with minimal retouching that does not significantly affect the authenticity of the photograph. Digital adjustment for exposure is permitted. Cropping is permitted. Photographs in the Arthouse section may be enhanced, manipulated, retouched or altered in any way. Subject matter can be anything. All changes to photographs must be undertaken solely by the entrant. Entrants may enter either online or by postal entry. Photograph images submitted are to be resized to 1024 pixels on the longest side of the image, be 300DPI and in JPEG format. Entrants will retain copyright in their photograph. The photographs submitted must have been taken since 1st July, 2012 and must have been solely the work of the entrant. There is no limit to the number of entries each entrant can submit. Entry fees are $7 AUD (approx. 6.50 USD) for each photograph entered. Eligibility: Entrants in the Macquarie Photography Prize: can be from any country and be of any age. Prize: • Best in Show: $15,000 AUD (approx. 14,000 USD) and camera equipment to the value of $5,000 AUD (approx. 4,600 USD) • 4 x Best in Section: $500 AUD each (approx. 460 USD)
