This year’s jury includes NOOR Agency photojournalist Yuri Kozyrev, The Globe and Mail photojournalist Goran Tomasevic, National Geographic photographer, filmmaker Ami Vitale, photojournalist Carol Guzy, visual storyteller Marion Mertens, visual media consultant Michel Scotto, Getty Images Chief Sports Photojournalist Cameron Spencer, photojournalist Ahmet Sel, and Firat Yurdakul, Visual News director of Anadolu. There are four supporter firms for the 10th year: Turkish technology firm Turkcell, Sony, the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), and Turkish Airlines, the nation’s flag carrier. There is no entry fee. Eligibility: Open worldwide to professional photographers, both freelancers and those affiliated with a company or agency. Prize: The contest has a total prize pool worth $60,000, distributed across different categories and special awards. The first, second, and third place winners receive $3,000, $1,500, and $1,000 USD respectively. The Single News 1st prize winner is nominated as “Photo of the Year,” receiving a total of $6,000 USD. Additionally, two special tenth-anniversary prizes of $1,000 USD each will be awarded for selected works from all series category submissions. In addition to the awards, this year the first prize winners of all categories will be awarded SONY Alpha A7 III Body cameras.
