Wildlife Artist of the Year is an internationally renowned art competition and exhibition often referred to as the Oscars of international wildlife art. Each year, the competition welcomes entries from hundreds of talented artists worldwide, in a celebration of outstanding wildlife art. There are eight categories: • Abstract World • Animal Behaviour • Earth’s Wild Beauty • Environmental Artivism • Facing Extinction • Into the Blue • Wings • Youth Exclusive (for artists aged 15 – 19 years) Mediums can include oil, acrylic, watercolor, pencil, mixed media, bronze, plaster, wire, collage and textiles with styles encompassing traditional, abstract, monochrome and many others – the choice is yours. All entries must be sent in a digital format. Photography or digital artworks are not accepted in this competition. Entry fee is 25 GBP per an artwork for the first two entries, thereafter it is 15 GBP per entry. Entries to the Youth Exclusive (15 – 19 years) is 15 GBP per entry. Eligibility: Open worldwide to both amateur and professional artists alike aged 15 years or over. Prize: The first prize is 5,000 GBP personal cash prize and 5,000 GBP conservation voucher (donated to a DSWF project of the winner’s choice). The second prize is 1,000 GBP personal cash prize and a 1,000 GBP conservation voucher. Also, category winners receive 500 GBP each.
