Skopje is inviting all students worldwide on BA, MA and PhD studies of fine arts, design, visual arts, to enter the 7th International Student Poster Competition.

The main objective of this competition is the world peace and the human rights issues. Can a designer act as peacemaker in the world?

So far the known synonyms for "peace" include "amity," "friendship," "harmony," "concord," "tranquility," "repose," "quiescence," "truce," "pacification," and "neutrality". While some of these descriptions are appropriate, they are still quite limited in describing both the nature of peace and the role of the peacemaker.

Any attempt to articulate the nature of peace and peacemaking, therefore, must address those conditions which are favorable to their emergence. Freedom, human rights, and justice are among such prerequisites. Also included are proactive strategies such as conflict resolution, non-violent action, community building, and democratization of authority.

Go beyond stereotypes and try to achieve simple and direct communication without limitations. Think creatively and artistically.

Eligibility

All students worldwide from faculties/academies/colleges of fine arts, design and visual arts are invited to enter.

Prize

Two poster winners will be awarded with equal prizes:

• Participation in jury work 2015 for the 8th Skopje Poster Festival (fully covered expences)
• Organization of poster exhibition in MKC Gallery 2015
• ICOGRADA Certificate
