    Spirito di Vino, now in its fifteenth edition, is an international competition for artists of satirical cartoons concerning the world and culture of wine. Organised by Movimento Turismo del Vino Friuli Venezia Giulia it is open to cartoonists from all around the world.

    Since its first edition, Spirito di Vino has been particulary focussed on young artists, who have always proved very willing to take part to the initiative. Today Movimento Turismo del Vino is still carrying out this project with passion and momentum with the aim of raising awareness, not only among young people, but also among wine lovers from all around the world, on the need to drink responsibly.

    Cartoonists taking part to the competition are divided in two groups:

    • Artists from 18 to 35 years old
    • Artists older than 36 years

    The jury, made of leading figures from the world of satire and journalism, will select the 30 best cartoons. Cartoons should not exceed the dimensions of 30x40 cm in vertical. Each artist could send maximum 3 cartoons. The artworks may be in black and white or colour and may be drawn using any technique.

    There is no entry fee.

    Eligibility


    All cartoonists from all over the world are welcome to submit their entries.

    Prize


    The award ceremony will take place during the FriuliDOC festival (traditional early autumn festival with the best of the region’s food, wine and typical products) in Udine (Italy), on 13th September 2014.

    The first three artists in the rankings of both groups will be awarded a selection of fine wines from Friuli:

    • 1st prize: 75 bottles
    • 2nd prize: 50 bottles
    • 3rd prize: 25 bottles
