International Graphics Review II Competition

The International Graphics Review II is an important cultural event organized by local actors from Romania having an international impact by offering the possibility for graphic artists to introduce themselves in front of the Eastern European public and to become a part of today’s graphic art trends.
For the first edition of the Biennial in 2010 283 artists from 11 countries have sent 693 art works from which 245 were exposed within a travelling exhibition. The competition and exhibition was initiated and is organized by the County Councils Hargita and Covasna, Lăzarea’s Cultural and Creation Center and Covasna County’s Cultural Center. The Biennial’s first-protector is Kelemen Hunor, the Romanian ministry for culture and national heritage.
There are two categories: Traditional Graphics and Experimental Graphics.
It is possible to submit the applications for the pre-evaluation phase by completing and sending the entry form (available on the Biennnial’s website) and maximum 3 art works/category in form of digital photos (*.tiff or *.jpg file extension and 300 dpi resolution) to the email address grafikaiszemle@yahoo.com
The participation fee is 10 Euro (approx. 13 USD) per work.Eligibility
Open to any professional artist and art student from Romania or from abroad who meets the requirements established in the Call for Application.
All applicants are required to attach their Curriculum Vitae to the application form.Prize
• The main prize of the Biennial: 2,000 Euro (approx. 2,650 USD)
• Nagy Imre Prize: 1,000 Euro (approx. 1,325 USD)
• Plugor Sándor Prize: 1,000 Euro
• Nagy Pál Prize: 1,000 Euro
